1. What it is used for

R4 is a portable electric refrigeration oil charging pump designed for topping up and changing oil in compressors of large HVAC systems and for filling compressors when they are replaced. It works with all types of refrigeration oil and also pumps oil into a running system, overcoming its back pressure.

The pump is driven by a 250 W motor powered from 230 V. The maximum flow rate is 150 l/h and the maximum pressure is 16 bar. A tool case is supplied for easy carrying.

No oil backflow after a power failure. The ball check valve in the pump prevents oil or refrigerant from flowing back from the system if the power supply fails or the pump breaks down.
Motor thermal cut-out. The built-in thermal cut-out protects the pump against overload - once it trips, the pump stops running.
TurboCharge valve for high pressure. When high system pressure slows the motor down, the manual TurboCharge return valve lets you continue charging oil - once it is closed, the pump quickly builds pressure back up.

4. Applications

Topping up oil in a running compressor

In large HVAC systems, the pump tops up oil through the compressor oil charging valve, even while the system is running.

Filling after a compressor replacement

When replacing a compressor or changing the oil, the pump draws oil directly from the container through the suction hose.
