1. What it is used for

The P30J is a water mist system for air conditioning outdoor units and refrigeration equipment operating at high ambient temperatures. A temperature sensor fitted at the coil fins starts misting once the start temperature is exceeded and stops it when the temperature falls to the stop value. Mains water passes through a pre-filter to 5 nozzles, which spray it onto the coil. It protects the unit from overheating during prolonged hot weather and reduces the load on the compressor. It suits air-cooled condensers in air conditioning and refrigeration: from air conditioners, through VRF and VRV systems and chillers, to condensing units in data centres, warehouses and production plants.

The misting system requires a water pressure of 2–8 bar, with water consumption of 18–53 l/h. It is wall-mounted next to the unit and requires no modifications to the air conditioner. The housing is rated IP54.

Adjustable start and stop thresholds. You can set the misting start and stop temperatures with the buttons on the panel.
Two control modes. In dual control mode, misting starts above the temperature threshold only when the current sensor confirms that the air conditioner is running; in single mode, temperature alone decides.
Water consumption depends on pressure. At 2 bar, five nozzles use 18 l/h, at 4 bar - 33 l/h, at 6 bar - 44 l/h and at 8 bar - 53 l/h.
Pre-filter protects the nozzles. The pre-filter on the water inlet traps sand and deposits that could clog the nozzles.

4. Applications

Outdoor unit in hot weather

Fitted at an air conditioner outdoor unit, the misting system cools the coil when prolonged hot weather puts the unit at risk of overheating.

VRF/VRV systems and chillers

The misting system is installed at VRF and VRV outdoor unit banks and at chillers with air-cooled condensers.

Data centres, warehouses and production

It is well suited to refrigeration equipment in data centres and server rooms, warehouses, cold stores and production plants that must keep running in hot weather.
