1. What it is used for

The ALD-2 detects R32, R410A, R407C, R134a, R290, R600a and R1234yf, as well as R22 and R12, among others. It also responds to the nitrogen/hydrogen mixture (N2/H2) used for leak testing. The minimum detectable leak is ≤3 g/year. You can bend the 420 mm flexible probe so that the sensor reaches valves and joints in hard-to-reach places.

The detector indicates a leak with an audible signal and a reading on the display - the level from 1 to 7 rises with the refrigerant concentration.

Alarm above ambient concentration. The default automatic zeroing ignores refrigerant present around the probe, so the detector only alarms at a concentration higher than the background.
From leak area to leak point. High sensitivity lets you identify the leak area first, and after switching to a lower setting the detector narrows the search down to a single point.
Replaceable sensor in the probe. You can replace a worn sensor without replacing the whole detector; its service life is at least one year.
7 hours of operation on AA batteries. Three AA alkaline batteries provide 7 hours of continuous operation, and a three-colour icon shows their status.
