1. What it is used for

MDG-1 is a single digital pressure gauge for the maintenance and inspection of refrigeration systems, as well as for evacuation and refrigerant charging. The built-in sensor measures pressure in the range 0–55 bar, and once you select a refrigerant from a list of 16, the display also shows its evaporating temperature. During evacuation, the gauge reads vacuum from -1 to 0 bar.

Two 1/4" SAE connections and a control valve let you connect the system to a refrigerant cylinder, a vacuum pump or a refrigerant recovery machine. The valve works in the same way as on an analogue gauge. Power is supplied by a built-in 1500 mAh battery, charged via a USB Type-C port.

Accuracy ±0.2 bar at 22 °C. The gauge measures with an accuracy of ±0.2 bar and a resolution of 0.01 bar, and the reading refreshes every second, so you can see pressure changes in real time during charging and evacuation.
Sensor withstands up to 75 bar. The SENSATA sensor withstands an overload pressure of up to 75 bar, and the gauge signals that the measuring range has been exceeded with an alarm and the code E1.
