1. What it is used for

The R6 is an electric refrigeration oil charging pump designed for topping up and changing oil in the compressors of large HVAC systems and for filling compressors when they are replaced. It works with all types of refrigeration oil, particularly high-viscosity oils, even at low temperatures. The pump also delivers oil into a running system.

The pump is driven by a 550 W motor powered at 230 V. The maximum flow rate is 350 l/h and the maximum pressure is 25 bar. A pressure gauge on top of the pump shows the current working pressure.

Working pressure visible at all times. The pressure gauge on top of the pump shows the current working pressure, so you can see the pressure the pump is working at while charging oil.
Pressure relief valve at 25 bar. When the charging pressure exceeds 25 bar (2.5 MPa), the pressure relief valve opens and returns the oil to the pump inlet, lowering the pressure in the charging hose.
No oil backflow after a power failure. A ball check valve in the pump prevents oil or refrigerant from flowing back out of the system if the power fails or the pump breaks down.
Motor thermal cut-out. A built-in thermal cut-out protects the pump against overload - when it trips, the pump stops working.

4. Applications

In large HVAC systems, the pump tops up oil through the compressor oil charging valve, even while the system is running.

Filling after compressor replacement

When replacing a compressor or changing the oil, the pump draws oil directly from the container through the suction hose.
