Wipcool EF-2 / EF-2L user manual
The Wipcool EF-2 and EF-2L flaring tools are used to make 45° flares on copper tube, including in systems using R410A refrigerant. The EF-2 series is operated manually, while the EF-2L series can be operated manually or with a power screwdriver.
The user manual is an integral part of the product. Please read this manual carefully and follow all instructions strictly.

Components

- ■Handle - used to form the flare manually.
- ■Flaring bar - has holes sized to match the tube diameters.
- ■EF-2L drive socket - accepts a 6 mm hex bit for operation with a power screwdriver.
Package contents
After unpacking, check that the kit is complete and in good condition. Report any missing or damaged items to the seller.
The EF-2, EF-2MS, EF-2L, EF-2LMS and EF-2LK kits contain a flaring tool and one flaring bar. The EF-2M, EF-2MK, EF-2LM and EF-2LMK kits contain a flaring tool and two flaring bars: one imperial and one metric.
- ■EF-2MK: HC-32 tube cutter and HD-1 deburring tool.
- ■EF-2LK and EF-2LMK: HC-32 tube cutter, HD-1 deburring tool and 6 mm hex bit.
- ■EF-2M, EF-2MK, EF-2LK, EF-2LM and EF-2LMK: case.
The 6 mm hex bit for operation with a power screwdriver is not included with the EF-2L, EF-2LMS and EF-2LM versions.
How to use
Step 1

Fit the flaring bar into the body.
Step 2

Insert the copper tube into the hole in the flaring bar that matches the outside diameter of the tube, and rest the stop plate against the end of the tube to set its protrusion from the bar.
Step 3

Move the body over the hole containing the tube and select the drive method:
- ■Manually (both series): turn the handle until the flare is formed.
- ■With a power screwdriver (EF-2L series only): remove the handle, insert the 6 mm hex bit into the drive socket and form the flare.
