Wipcool PT-25 Waterless Ball Condensate Trap
1

Wipcool PT-25 user manual

The Wipcool PT-25 waterless condensate trap is used to drain condensate from air conditioning systems. A floating ball limits the entry of outside air, odours and insects through the drain pipe.

The user manual is an integral part of the product. Please read this manual carefully and follow all instructions strictly.

Contents

  • ■PT-25 waterless condensate trap.
  • ■User manual.

After unpacking, check that the contents are complete and in good condition. Report any missing items or transport damage to the seller.

8

Transport and storage

  • ■Transport the condensate trap in its original packaging. Protect the condensate trap from impacts.
  • ■Store the condensate trap in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat and fire, at a temperature of -20 to +60 °C.
9

Application

The condensate trap is used in condensate drains from air handling units, ceiling-mounted air conditioning units and cold rooms. It can be used in negative-pressure rooms in hospitals, as well as in laboratories, schools, hotels and food processing facilities.

10

Installation

  1. 01Provide an access opening near the condensate trap installation site to allow inspection and cleaning.
  2. 02Position the condensate trap horizontally. Support the pipes close to the condensate trap body.
  3. 03Close the cover completely.

Use

Inspection after installation and reconnection of the pipes

  1. 01Run water into the drain and observe the flow. Check that the water drains without backing up or pooling and that the cover and connections are watertight.
  2. 02If water backs up, pools or leaks, stop the water supply. Check that the condensate trap is horizontal, the cover is closed and the pipe connections are secure.
  3. 03After correcting any faults, repeat the flow and leak checks.
12

Maintenance

!
Caution
Do not use acetone, thinners, alcohol, petrol, solvents, corrosive substances or strong detergents.

Inspection and cleaning

!
Caution
Do not exert force on the pipes when opening or closing the cover.
  1. 01Open the cover and remove the inner housing and floating ball.
  2. 02Remove dirt and blockages. Clean the removed parts with clean water and a small amount of mild soap, then rinse them thoroughly.
  3. 03Reinstall the cleaned inner housing and floating ball.
  4. 04Close the cover completely and check for water leaks.
  5. 05Check the pipe connections to the body. After reconnecting the pipes, carry out the inspection described in the ‘USE’ section.
