Contents
After unpacking, check that the contents are complete and in good condition. Report any missing or damaged items to the seller.
- ■Condensate pump.
- ■Ø25/Ø20 mm reducer.
- ■Hose clamps - 3 pcs.
- ■Flexible hose.
- ■Screws.
- ■User manual.
Transport and storage
- ■Transport the pump in its original packaging.
- ■Store it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, at a temperature of -20 to +60 °C.
Installation
- 01Position the pump horizontally. Check the spirit level and adjust the position until the bubble is centred.
- 02Secure the pump using one of the methods shown in figure 4. When installing it in a condensate tray, the top edge of the pump must be at least 26 mm above the edge of the tray (figure 4b).
Connecting the condensate inlet
Select the rear, side or top inlet and open its cap as shown in figures 5–7. To connect a Ø20 mm inlet pipe, use the Ø25/Ø20 mm reducer supplied. Push the inlet pipe fully through the seal into the opening so that it cannot come loose.
Connecting the discharge
Connect the discharge pipe to the discharge outlet and secure it with a hose clamp. Do not exceed the max. head: P40 - 10 m, P110 - 3.5 m.
Connection
Connect the power cable marked POWER to a circuit that is not switched off by the alarm or the air conditioner contactor. The pump must have a continuous power supply so that it can pump out the remaining condensate after the air conditioner stops.
| Marking | Function | Conductor colour |
|---|---|---|
| L | Power supply - live conductor | Brown |
| N | Power supply - neutral conductor | Blue |
| NC | Normally closed contact of the alarm circuit | Black |
| COM | Common contact of the alarm circuit | Black |
The two-core signal cable is used to transmit an alarm and stop the air conditioner if the pump malfunctions.
Connection to the level controller
| No. | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | Condensate pump |
| 2 | Indoor unit |
| 3 | Level controller |
| 4 | Outdoor unit |
| NC, COM | Black pump signal wires |
Connection to a contactor
If the air conditioner does not have a level controller, the signal wire can be connected to another alarm device, or an AC contactor can be used to cut off the power supply to the air conditioner.
| No. | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | Condensate pump |
| 2 | Indoor unit |
| 3 | Outdoor unit |
| 4 | AC contactor |
| NC, COM | Black pump signal wires |
Operation
- 01After completing the installation and connecting the cables and pipes, switch on the pump power supply and start the air conditioner.
- 02Check that the pump removes condensate. If it does not operate correctly, check the causes in the ‘TROUBLESHOOTING’ section. If the problem persists, stop using the pump. Have it repaired by a service centre - submit a request at wipcool.pl/serwis.
Maintenance
Cleaning the tank
Every six months (ideally in spring and autumn) or more often, remove the tank and thoroughly clean the filter, level sensor and inside of the tank. Use an antibacterial agent that does not damage the pump materials. Refit all components after cleaning.
Cleaning the discharge outlet
If the discharge outlet is blocked, remove it by hand as shown in figure 11, remove the debris and refit it.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump runs continuously | Pump is not level | Level the pump. |
| Pump runs continuously | Deposits in the tank | Clean the inside of the tank and the level sensor as described in the ‘MAINTENANCE’ section. |
| Pump gurgles or makes noise after switching off | The end of the discharge pipe is lower than the pump, creating a siphoning effect | Route the pipe so that its end is higher than the pump. |
| Pump does not start | Pump is not level | Level the pump and check the condensate level. |
| Pump does not start | No power supply | Check the power supply connection. |
| Pump does not start | Incorrect voltage | Check that the supply voltage matches the device rating plate. |
Waste electrical and electronic equipment
- 01
The crossed-out bin symbol means that the end-of-life device must not be disposed of with other waste.
Under the applicable regulations on waste electrical and electronic equipment, products marked with the separate collection symbol must not be disposed of with other municipal waste. Because they contain harmful substances, electronic products that are not sorted separately may pose a risk to the environment and human health. Proper separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment prevents negative effects on the environment.
By taking end-of-life equipment to a collection point, the user contributes to its reuse, recycling and recovery.
Recycling - a method of protecting the environment. The process of recovering substances from waste that can be reused as raw materials.
Recovery - the use (also commonly understood as destruction) of waste that has lost its useful value, such as plastics, paper and cardboard, as secondary raw materials.
Information on the collection system for waste electrical and electronic equipment
- ■Waste electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with other waste.
- ■The collection of incomplete electrical and electronic equipment and parts from waste equipment is prohibited.
- ■A distributor delivering equipment intended for households to a purchaser is obliged to collect waste equipment from households free of charge at the place of delivery, provided that the waste equipment is of the same type and performs the same function as the equipment delivered.
- ■The user can hand over waste equipment to a waste equipment collector, a treatment facility or a municipal waste collector in the municipality.
- ■Information about collection points is available on the Public Information Bulletin (BIP) websites of regional, city and municipal offices.
