The ASM130 is a portable sound level meter with a condenser microphone and a backlit LCD display. It measures A-weighted noise over a 30–130 dB range and a 31.5 Hz–8 kHz frequency band, with ±1.5 dB accuracy at 1 kHz. It is used for noise measurement, including environmental noise, for example in manufacturing plants. The meter is designed for indoor use.

Fluctuating and steady noise
FAST mode, sampling every 125 ms, is used to measure fluctuating noise, and SLOW mode, sampling every 1 s, is used for steady noise.
Highest and lowest value
In MAX or MIN mode, the display continuously shows the highest or lowest measured value, so you do not need to follow the reading in real time.
Reading held on the display
The HOLD function freezes the current reading on the display, so you can read and record it after the measurement is complete.
Reading in low light
The backlit display makes the reading easier to see in poorly lit locations.
