Wipcool AVD24 Non-Contact AC Voltage Detector

Non-contact detector for checking whether a cable or socket outlet is live with 50/60 Hz AC voltage and for telling the live conductor from the neutral. It has two sensitivity modes, 90–1000 V and 24–1000 V, and a CAT IV 1000 V safety rating.

The AVD24 checks whether a cable, socket outlet or other object is live with AC voltage, without contact with the conductor. When the sensor head is near a voltage source, the LED on the tip lights up and the buzzer sounds. The detector has two sensitivity modes: the default 90–1000 V and the more sensitive 24–1000 V. It signals a live conductor and stays silent on a neutral, so you can tell live from neutral.

Two sensitivity modes
The more sensitive 24–1000 V mode picks up weaker electric fields, while the 90–1000 V mode is less prone to interference.
Signal speeds up near the source
The LED and buzzer signal more frequently the closer the head is to the voltage source, which helps you pinpoint the live cable.
Torch at the tip
The built-in torch with its own button lights up the test point when lighting is poor.
